Legal support for construction of housing appliances manufacturing plant SAMSUNG
Lawyers of “Yakovlev & Partners” have rendered legal assistance in construction of the housing appliances manufacturing plant SAMSUNG in Borovskiy district of Kaluga region. The Investment agreement with the Government of Kaluga region was concluded by the corporation Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. on June 9, 2007.
Grand opening of the plant of ÎÎÎ “Samsung Electronics Rus Kaluga” was held on September 4, 2008. Present on behalf of the Law Group "Yakovlev & Partners" were its Director Pavel P. Timokhin and the Project Leader, Deputy Director Olga S. Lazareva.
13 employees from different practices of the Law Group "Yakovlev & Partners" have been involved in the project and provided the following services:
• Rendering advice during conclusion of investment contract with the Government of Kaluga region, representing investor’s interests in negotiations with the Government of Kaluga region;
• Rendering advice on the issues of tax benefits provided for investors at the federal and regional levels;
• legal analysis (due diligence) of transfer of land from the category of “agricultural lands” to the category “lands for industrial and other special designations” for placement of production facilities on the land plot;
• legal analysis of the existing lease rights to the land plot intended for construction site, support of conclusion of agreement on transfer of rights and obligations under the land lease agreement;
• registration of subsidiary company ÎÎÎ “Samsung Electronics Rus Kaluga” in Kaluga region;
• advice in obtaining of technical specifications and conclusion of agreements with power supplying organizations of Kaluga region (power, water and gas supply, etc.);
• providing legal support to investor during the state expertise of the project documentation on construction of the plant, obtaining of construction permit, other necessary approvals from the control and supervision bodies; etc, etc.
