Andrey Yakovlev, Managing Partner and Chairman of Yakovlev & Partners, was honored with the Letter of Thanks from S.E. Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, for his participation in the International Municipal BRICS Forum (IMBRICS Forum) and his significant contribution to its success.
The IMBRICS Forum took place from October 29 to 31, 2025, in St. Petersburg, bringing together over 5,200 participants from 75 countries around the world and 83 regions of the Russian Federation. The forum was attended by city mayors, heads of municipalities, representatives of government bodies, international experts, and opinion leaders. The forum's agenda covered issues of sustainable territorial development, digitalization, urban infrastructure, education, science, culture, and international cooperation.
Within the business program, Andrey Yakovlev delivered a speech at the session ‘Russia – China: Urban Diplomacy in an Era of Change’ with a report titled ‘The Right to Trust: How New Architecture of Urban Interaction between Russia and China is being Formed’. The speech was dedicated to the role of legal trust mechanisms in the development of intercity cooperation, the formation of sustainable partnerships between Russian and Chinese cities, and the importance of legal expertise in the implementation of international municipal projects.
