Experience and recognition
Sergey joined the team of Yakovlev and Partners Law Group in 2023. He has more than 13 years of legal experience.
Prior to joining Yakovlev and Partners, he headed the practice of Public Utilities, Energy and Real Estate Management at the Arbat Moscow Bar Association for seven years.
In the period from 2019 to 2021, he simultaneously led a project for the judicial protection of the developer PSNgroup in disputes with participants in shared-equity construction, within the framework of which judicial representation was organized on behalf of four developer companies in more than 2,500 lawsuits throughout the Russian Federation.
Prior to changing to consulting services in 2017, he worked for more than five years as a legal adviser at PJSC Moscow United Energy Company.
Sergey also is:
- a Member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Closed-loop Economy and Ecology;
- a Curator of the "Master of Debt Dispute Resolution" Award in the "Housing and Communal Services" nomination, established by the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Debt Dispute Resolution and Strengthening the Payment discipline of Business Entities;
- a Member of the Expert Council of the Association of Real Estate Managers "P1";
- Together with the Legal Academy project, he created and implemented a course of video lectures on the topic "Lawyer in the field of real estate and housing management";
- In 2023, he was recommended among the best lawyers in the Construction, Real Estate and Housing and communal services category according to individual ratings — "Leaders of the legal Services market" by Kommersant newspaper and "Rating of the best lawyers and their companies" by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

In 2011, he graduated from the Russian State Tax Academy under the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Moscow, Law School, academic program track: Lawyer, area of study: financial and tax law, academic degree.
Since 2022 he has been a doctoral candidate student at the Russian Academy of Law and Notary, Moscow. Dissertation research topic: "Implementation of the principles of budgetary federalism in financing housing and communal services in the Russian Federation".
